Kybella® Treatment Details
Most patients have at least two Kybella® treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Patients can have up to six treatments to the area under the chin. Your medical professional at Boise Image Enhancement Centre can develop a plan that best suits your body type.
After each treatment, a period of swelling can occur for four to six weeks. During this time, the treatment area can look fuller than it did before as the fat cells are being disrupted. Once the fat cells finish their disruption and the swelling lessens, most results are noticeable at six to eight weeks after each treatment.
Kybella® results are often long-lasting unless the patient gains additional weight-post treatment.

Is Kybella® effective at removing double chins?
Kybella® is FDA-approved to reduce fat underneath the jaw and lessen the appearance of double chins.
For maximum results, we also recommend combining Kybella® with CoolSculpting®, another FDA-approved treatment that reduces the fat that causes double chins.
When will I see Kybella® results?
How long does Kybella® swelling last?
The worst of the Kybella® swelling will occur in the area of injection up to four days after treatment. Swelling will go down over two to three weeks. We recommend scheduling Kybella® treatments at least 4 weeks apart to allow swelling to go down.
Does Kybella® leave loose skin?
Kybella® removes fat but does not tighten the skin. However, for many patients, the skin where the double-chin used to be is firm enough that it naturally tightens after the fat is dissolved. Other treatments, such as Ultherapy® or even CoolSculpting® can help tighten loose skin from double-chins.
