Wrinkle Relaxers

Botox®, Xeomin®, Dysport®

Repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows causes skin to furrow and fold, gradually resulting in the formation of facial lines. Botox®, Xeomin®, & Dysport® are popular, nonsurgical injections that temporarily reduce or eliminate facial fine lines and wrinkles. The most commonly treated areas are frown lines, forehead creases, and crow’s feet near the eyes. Other boutique areas diminishing the appearance of thick bands in the neck, slimming overly-masculine muscles in the jawline, removing unwanted lipstick lines, reversing gummy smiles, and smoothing the appearance of “orange peel” texture on the chin.

About Wrinkle Relaxers

Botox® CosmeticDysport®, and Xeomin® are a purified substance that’s derived from bacteria. Injections of these agents block the nerve signals to the muscle in which it was injected. Without a signal, the muscle is not able to contract. The end result is a diminished appearance of unwanted facial wrinkles.

The wrinkles on your forehead and around your eyes may become smoother, your brows may be lifted and your eyes more open, and you will have an overall greater relaxed look to your facial expressions.

Results are usually seen within 7-14 days. These results typically last 3 to 4 months before another treatment is necessary. Time between treatments may increase with repeated injections and may increase duration of up to 6 months.

Experience Counts!

Boise Image Enhancement Centre providers have over 30 years of experience injecting the highest quality wrinkle relaxers. To date, our team has safely injected over 6,000,000 units of wrinkle relaxers in well over 60,000 satisfied guests.

Wrinkle Relaxer Procedure Details

Botox® injections are quick and relatively painless for most patients. Some patients report the injections feel like a pinch. You may begin noticing a visible smoothing of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines within 2-7 days, with the results lasting up to 4 months for moderate to severe frown lines. Treatment requires minimal downtime, so you can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave.

This is not a permanent treatment. If you discontinue treatments, the moderate to severe lines will gradually return.

Wrinkle Relaxer FAQ

There four major types of wrinkle relaxer: Botox® Cosmetic from Allergan, Dysport® from Galderma, Jeuveau™ from Evolus, and Xeomin® from Merz Aesthetics.

The four wrinkle relaxer types are variations of botulinum toxin, and all three act similarly in most patients.

We do recognize that these wrinkle relaxers can affect certain patients differently. That is why Boise Image is one of the select few Boise aesthetics providers that carry all major types of wrinkle relaxers.

Absolutely. The original FDA-approved use for Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport®, and Xeomin® is for use in between the eyebrows to remove the “11 lines” (also known as the glabella or frown lines). Botox in the glabella is where it all started, and we at Boise Image can expertly reduce or completely remove the appearance of your frown lines.

Wrinkle relaxers cannot be injected into the cheek. By looking for cheek botox® you may be looking for cheek injections, which are cheek fillers.

Wrinkle relaxers are primarily used to stop or reduce wrinkles created by repetitive facial movement, which is most needed in the glabella (11 lines), forehead, and around the eyes. Injecting wrinkle relaxer in the cheeks can be counterproductive, not to mention dangerous.

The cheeks usually do not have problems with wrinkles. Instead, the cheeks lose volume as we age, which makes us look older. Thus, we use cheek fillers to restore volume to the cheeks for a more youthful face.

While wrinkle relaxers should not be injected in the cheek, we can use them for facial slimming by injecting into the jaw. Injecting wrinkle relaxers into the masseter muscle gently slims the face over time. Wrinkle relaxer jaw injections can also alleviate symptoms of jaw clenching and TMJ.

Our providers do a minimum of 20-30 botox® units per standard area. Just like you wouldn’t lick a Tylenol for pain relief, getting only a few units of wrinkle relaxer injected into the forehead or glabella is not going to achieve the result most are looking for.

Many of our longtime patients specially request a large, yet safe amount of wrinkle relaxer units, as we’ve found that the larger the dose, the longer the results typically last.

Wrinkle relaxer costs vary depending on the preference and experience of the injector.

We strongly suggest staying away from providers who advertise “cheap botox”, as we have had many patients come in who have bad experiences with unlicensed or poorly-trained injectors. When it comes to wrinkle relaxers, you do get what you pay for.

The Wrinkle Relaxer cost at Boise Image is based on how many units you receive. All of our premier injectors are medically-licensed and highly-trained, but we can  respect your budget and can make a beauty plan based on your needs. We also are able to finance your treatments through CareCredit for your convenience.

While we are far from a discount injector, we do offer occasional Wrinkle Relaxer specials for those on a budget and to reward our long-term patients. Visit our Specials and Sales to see if we have a current special.

Wrinkle relaxers do not freeze your face. In fact, they do the opposite.

Wrinkle Relaxers work by relaxing the muscle they are injected into, which smoothes the appearance of existing wrinkles and stops the creation of new wrinkles.

Wrinkle relaxer can be safely injected in the face between the eyebrows, around the eyes, and in the forehead.

Yes! We offer lip flips! Botox® lip flips are short procedures that enhance the lip and reduces the appearance of a gummy smile.

This is an advanced procedure that is not approved by the FDA, so it is extremely important that you only get lip botox® from medically-licensed, highly-trained injectors, like our staff at Boise Image.

We recommend booking your lip flip with your regular wrinkle relaxer appointment.

Wrinkle relaxers in the forehead, or in any area, lasts about 3-4 months. There are many factors that go into how long these last, but many of our patients have experienced that a larger dose makes a longer-lasting result.
