About Dermal Fillers
There are different types of dermal fillers available to help restore volume in the face. The majority of dermal fillers contain a hyaluronic acid gel that is approved by the FDA for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. The role of hyaluronic acid in the skin is to deliver nutrients, hydrate the skin by holding in water, and act as a cushioning agent.

Dermal Filler Treatment Details
Dermal fillers are a safe and timely procedure that creates immediate results. All dermal filler treatments at Boise Image Enhancement Centre start with a complimentary medical assessment, where one of our premier medical injectors listens to your individual beauty goals and creates a plan to achieve them.
Then, the injector will select the appropriate dermal filler for your goals. Each variety of filler is unique, and different fillers excel when used in different areas for different purposes. Once treatment begins, the procedure is timely and rarely goes beyond one hour. After the treatment is completed, the results can be immediately seen with minimal downtime.
Within one to four hours, the area treated will begin to swell. This swelling is normal and can last anywhere between two days to two weeks, depending on the area, the amount of filler needed, and the response of the patient’s body. Since the swelling often exaggerates the appearance of the final result, many first-time patients mistake the swelling for their final appearance. However, as the swelling goes down, patients will begin to see their subtle, natural-looking results show through. After the swelling subsides, the patient will meet again with their provider for a follow-up and to receive any necessary touchups.
Dermal filler results last for different amounts of time based on the area treated, the product used, and the amount injected. In addition factors based on the individual patient, such as their metabolism, history of fillers, and lifestyle choices. Most commonly, dermal filler results last between six to nine months, though some results have been observed to last for over two years.

Which dermal fillers are right for me?

We offer many different fillers for different areas, as each product is uniquely formulated to have a certain texture, density, and injection depth to address specific anti-aging needs.
What is the procedure like?
This is not a surgical treatment. Treatment time with injectable filler gels can take 15-60 minutes, depending on which area of the face is being treated. You will see results immediately following the injections. Results may last 6 months to 2 years with optimal correction and the proper dermal filler used.
Most dermal fillers contain pain-reducing lidocaine to help manage pain and discomfort during the injection. We offer other forms of pain reduction, such as ice, topical numbing cream, and dental blocks to help reduce discomfort.
The most common side effects with dermal fillers include swelling, bruising, and tenderness at the injection site. Our providers will give you expert post-procedure care regimens and show you the best products to keep your stunning result. Side effects usually resolve in a few days to a few weeks.
Can dermal fillers replace a facelift?
