Do you have bags or dark circles? You’re not alone! Tear trough fillers are a popular treatment for removing dark circles and bags under the eyes. Also called under eye filler, this technique replaces fullness in the face that is lost due to aging. In the hands of a qualified medical professional, tear trough filler injections can create an amazing result with minimal risk. This procedure uses a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler such as Juvèderm, Belotero, Versa, or Restylane to gently restore the area underneath the eye socket to a more youthful state.
Tear Trough Filler: Info
Under eye filler is a medical cosmetic treatment that injects a filler gel into the facial area underneath the eyes to reduce dark circles and add youthful volume to the face. Also called tear trough filler, the use of under eye fillers is an advanced technique that has been scientifically proven to make individuals appear younger. In the hands of an expert injector, under eye fillers for dark circles and facial volume can be an effective treatment that makes the face appear less hollow.
Most of us have our opinions about how body fat makes us look. However, facial fat has been scientifically studied to make people’s faces appear younger and more desirable. In fact, a 2021 study from the Medical College of Wisconsin showed that middle-aged people who had dieted and lost weight had faces that appeared older than their non-dieting counterparts.
While we all may not have “diet face”, all of our faces naturally loses fat volume every year. As we age, the fat pads in the face begin to shrink and drift apart, like icebergs. When the fat begins to shrink, the face starts to look hollow and tired. If you’ve ever woken up one day and said, “When did I start looking so old?” what you’re probably seeing is the effect of volume loss in the face.
The tear trough filler technique uses a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler to gently restore in the area underneath the eye. HA fillers are among the most popular facial fillers today.
HA fillers are made of a gel that contains hyaluronic acid molecules, a type of sugar that is found naturally in the body and known for its ability to attract and hold onto water molecules. Brand names of HA fillers you may recognize include Juvèderm, Restylane, Belotero, and Versa. Because HA fillers are softer than other types of filler, they are most commonly used for under eye injections.
